Warre’s Quinta da Cavadinha is one of the finest vineyard estates in the Douro and produces outstanding wines that are used to make Warre’s Classic Vintage Port.
In non-declared years the best of the estate’s wines are bottled as single quinta Vintage Port. These wines share the same characteristic Warre’s style, with fine elegance and lifted floral aromas, but more closely reflect the unique characteristics of the Cavadinha vineyard.
Food pairing suggestion: One of the great strengths of Vintage Port is that it gives equal pleasure enjoyed young and after several decades in bottle. One of the best pairings with Vintage Port is cheese (cream cheese, blue cheese and cured cheese) but it can also be enjoyed alongside many desserts, or simply on its own.

WINE SPECTATOR’S TOP 10 DESSERT WINES 1998
"Warre’s makes back-to-back appearances on our top 100, this time with its single quinta Vintage Port. The Quinta da Cavadinha was purchased by the Symington family in 1978, and in years that it is not bottled as a single quinta, it forms the backbone of Warre’s Vintage Port.”

"The color is a dark ruby/purple, and the nose emerges to reveal licorice, tar, and jammy black fruit scents. It is a full-bodied, well-structured, beautifully focused, classically rendered vintage port that is capable of 20-25 years of cellaring."
Robert Parker, The Wine Buyers Guide
